Appreciation, never required

Tipping Policy

Last updated: April 26, 2026

Tips are appreciated, never expected. Here's everything you need to know.

Are Tips Expected?

No. Our pricing reflects fair pay for our team. Tips are entirely optional and our team will never solicit, request, or hint at tips. If a team member ever pressures you for a tip, please report it to hello@maidwave.com immediately.

If You Want to Tip

Tips are common in our industry and always appreciated. Typical amounts:

How to Tip

Cash (Most Direct)

Leave cash visible in a kitchen or marked "for the cleaning team." This goes directly to the team and is the most appreciated method.

Through MaidWave

Add a tip to your invoice — we pass 100% to the team that performed the service. This is convenient if you're not home or don't have cash.

Direct Cash Apps

Some team members are open to receiving Venmo or Zelle tips. If you'd like to tip this way, ask us at hello@maidwave.com and we'll connect you with the right info.

100% Goes to the Team

Every dollar tipped goes to the team member(s) who cleaned your home. MaidWave does not take a percentage of tips. For team cleans, tips are split equally among the team unless you specify otherwise.

Other Ways to Show Appreciation

If tipping isn't your style, our team genuinely appreciates:

Recurring Service Discounts vs Tips

Our recurring discounts (10-25% off per visit) come from MaidWave's margins, not from team pay. Recurring team members earn the same rate per hour regardless of which discount you receive. Don't feel obligated to tip more because you're a recurring customer.
